Welcome to the new and improved Glenview Park District website!

In response to your feedback in a recent user survey, we’ve completely revamped our website and added great new tools to help you find what you are looking for at the click of a button. Check out our:

Our new menu structure makes it easier to find what you’re looking for. The top menu allows you to search by Category/Activity Type while the menu on the left lets you search by Facility. These menus appear on every page of the site so you’re never more than a click or two away from the information you want. Each page within the site also has links to related pages for that topic so you can easily move from page to page within a Category or Facility.

Not sure where to look for what you’re interested in? We’ve added a search engine to help you zero in on the information you need.

In addition to Quick Links for our Online Registration and Events Calendar, we’ve also added links to major upcoming events and meeting notices as well as Outdoor Sports Cancellation and Pool Weather Hotline numbers.

Spectacular Pool Fun Days
at Flick & Roosevelt Pools

JUMP into Spectacular Pool Fun Days at our outdoor pools. These special events, perfect for a day out with the family, will take place between 4 and 9 pm at Flick Pool, 3600 Glenview Rd. and Roosevelt Pool, 2239 Fir St. on the following dates:

August 7, Roosevelt Pool, Guess the Goldfish Game
Explore the pool grounds to locate the number of Goldfish hiding out

Monday, August 4 - Sunday, August 17

Pool will reopen for regular Public Family Swim and Designated
Lap Swim hours on Monday, August 18. Splash Landings pool
passes will be honored at Flick & Roosevelt Outdoor Pools
during shutdown. Call 847-724-3337 for updated weather information.

The Glenview Senior Center presents
The Rockin' Fenderskirts &
the Jesse White Tumbling Team

Bring the whole family to enjoy music by the Rockin'
Fenderskirts starting at 1 pm followed by the gymnastic
gyrations of the Jesse White Tumbling Team at 2 pm
Tickets $5 at the door

Make a difference in the environment!
Restoration Work Day at The Grove
Saturday, August 9
Help collect seeds or remove non-native, invasive plants
to make way for native wildflowers, grasses and trees.
Anyone ages 8 and up is welcome. No advance registration
is necessary--just bring your work gloves if you have them.
Meet at The Grove Interpretive Center, 1421 Milwaukee Ave.

The Glenview Park District Fall 2008 Guide was mailed to residents' homes on Saturday, July 26. The Guide contains information on all park district facilities and programs for the Fall 2008 session. The Resident Lottery Registration Deadline for Park Center, Wagner Farm and Grove programs will be Tues., August 19 at 7:30 pm. Open registration for nonresidents and residents who miss the lottery deadline will begin on Wed., Sept. 3 at 9 am at Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave. For more information on our registration process, click here.
